SPAY & NEUTER SERVICES Your pet is a companion, a friend, and in a real sense a member of your family. In order to reduce the number of animals ending up in shelters or being euthanized, we encourage you to discuss spaying or neutering your pet with your veterinarian. Together you can work as a team to help reduce the number of unwanted and abandoned animals. Both male and female dogs and cats are mature enough to reproduce between the ages of six to nine months.

PET DENTISTRY Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. All pets receive a complete dental scaling with hand scaling below the gum line, and tooth polishing. Legacy Animal Hospital performs in-house surgeries and dental procedures using state-of-the-art technology to ensure your pet receives the best veterinary dental care available.  Pets with routine dental care typically live longer and healthier lives.  Pets with dental disease constantly release bacteria from their mouths into their bloodstream, resulting in inflammatory changes in the heart, liver, and kidney tissue in otherwise healthy animals.  This problem may be exacerbated in pets that already have other existing diseases.  Periodontal disease is a major health risk for your pet and is one of the most common diseases in small animals.  It is painful, but  frequently, pets with oral pain “suffer in silence”.  However, periodontal disease is easily preventable. Let us give your pet a complete dental check up and advise you on how to keep your pet's teeth clean and healthy for a long and pain- free lifetime!  

VETERINARY SURGERY Legacy Animal Hospital is a small animal clinic providing both medical and surgical services with a personal touch.  We have a diagnostic laboratory, surgery suite, and on- site radiology department.  We provide a full range of options to aid in a complete diagnostic work-up to evaluate your pet's medical needs. When necessary, we will refer cases needing more specialized care to specialty practices in the Las Vegas area.   Dr. Muratore and his clinical staff are well trained and experienced. We make a conscientious effort to provide continuing education both on and off-site to all our staff to keep us on the cutting edge of medicine and service. During our surgeries we monitor blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, EKG, and body temperature with a body system monitoring machine.  We record and print a record of the patient’s stats while under anesthesia.  All surgery patients receive either IV fluids or SC fluids during the procedure as well as pain management control.
