MEET OUR VETERINARY STAFF
Legacy Animal Hospital is home to Las Vegas native, Dr. Terry L. Muratore. Born and raised in Las Vegas he graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in 1974. From there he moved on to UNLV where he majored in Zoology, which earned him a Bachelor’s degree. He then moved on to graduate school in Missouri. He graduated in 1982 and has been offering top of the line service to Las Vegas residents ever since. Dr. Muratore and his lovely wife Mary, have 6 pets at home including two black labs, Mia and Fluffy, a beautiful mutt Timpie, 2 cats and their pride and joy, Doria.
Susie Costa, DVM Dr. Costa is a native of Las Vegas who graduated from Valley High School. She did her undergraduate studies at University of Utah, and attended Veterinary School at Colorado State where she graduated in 2001. Dr. Costa enjoys outdoor activities. She is extremely involved in many animal rescue organizations.
Michelle Eisenberg, Veterinary Technician (Photo Coming Soon!)
Michelle is originally from Minnesota, which is also where she went to school. When she was just six years old she went with her mom to take their family dog to see the vet, that day she told the vet that one day she would work with him as a doctor. That determination never left her as she spent two grueling years at Minnesota School of Business/Globe College studying to be a technician. Currently, Michelle is going to UNLV to advance her degree and become a doctor. At home she has a beautiful little girl, two dogs, and one cat.
Caryne Baker, Office Manager (Photo Coming Soon!)
Caryne started working here at Legacy in 2003 and has loved working with us ever since. She has obtained 3 of her current loving pets by taking home strays, for example her 2 cats and her beloved toy Yorkie, Trinket. Caryne is a hard worker and is always ready to help any of our clients and their pets. “I’ve always loved animals and our clients are the best,” she says of her job.
Anne Lett, Receptionist (Photo Coming Soon!)
Anne started working as a veterinarian receptionist in 1979 with Dr. Sapp at Sunrise Veterinary Hospital. When asked why she wanted to work with animals she responded, “I’ve always been drawn to people and their pets. You know? I feel people who have a relationship with an animal tend to be more sincere, responsible people, like, if you are someone who doesn’t like animals, I don’t know about you. (Laughs).”
Kelley Stillings, Pet Groomer (Photo Coming Soon!)
Kelley has been in the animal care field for over 20 years. She has been grooming exclusively since 2001, and has been working with us at Legacy for six years.
Jackie Paganelli, Pet Groomer (Photo Coming Soon!)
Jackie has been working in the animal care industry for 8 years. Kelley trained her as a groomer in 2004 and she has been working at Legacy for six years as well.
Jim Hagendorn, Kennel Attendant (Photo Coming Soon!)
Jim started working for veterinarians in 1986. He is great with animals and always treats every one of our patients as if each is his own. Jim has a special passion for taking care of animals and we feel lucky to have a man who is so devoted to his work.
Brian Ayala, Kennel Attendant (Photo Coming Soon!)
Brian is currently attending UNLV and majoring in Criminal Justice. He loves animals and takes great care of all our boarders.
Doria, Office Greeter (Photo Coming Soon!)
Doria Muratore is Dr. Muratore and his beautiful wife’s white/brown spotted spoiled rotten Chihuahua. She was born December 22, 2007 and is originally from Puerta Vallarta. She was a gift from one of Dr. Muratore’s devoted clients for his wife, Mary. She currently resides on her cushioned dog bed on Dr. Muratore’s desk barking orders as we each walk by. Talk about a demanding boss!
Baby, Office Greeter (Photo Coming Soon!)
Baby is our office cat. We came by Baby when she was left here at Legacy for boarding but her parents never picked her up! Baby’s mom had distemper when she was pregnant with Baby and her litter mates, this caused Baby’s brain to never fully develop. Because her brain never fully developed she never learned to walk properly. When Baby was first dropped off nobody could go anywhere near her kennel because she would attack! It took Baby a long time to adjust to her new home, but after about 6 months it was like she was a completely different cat! She became very loving and she now roams the clinic halls as our office baby. |
